This policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect personal information when you use our website, contact us, enquire about programmes or services, register for training, explore a partnership, support our work or otherwise communicate with us. We process personal information in accordance with applicable laws of the Republic of Ghana, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

GovnorInspires Agricultural Innovation Hub is a youth-led social enterprise and agricultural innovation centre based in Wa, Upper West Region, Ghana. Registration number: BN563190525. Address: Behind DVLA Office, Along the Wa–Hamile Road, Wa, Upper West Region, Ghana.
2. Information we collect
Information collected depends on how you interact with us. When you contact us, enquire about services, training, programmes, partnerships or support, we may collect:
- Full name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, and location or district.
- The subject and content of your enquiry, programme or training interest, and other information you choose to provide.
- Contact and organisational information submitted through partnership, donation or other third-party forms.
We only ask for information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Training and programme information is used to respond, communicate with you and, where applicable, facilitate participation.
3. How we use your information
- Respond to enquiries, requests, training registrations and programme participation.
- Communicate with prospective partners, supporters and organisations; coordinate agricultural and community-development initiatives; and manage support enquiries.
- Maintain appropriate records, improve our website and communications, protect our systems, comply with legal obligations, and establish, exercise or defend legal rights where necessary.
We will not use personal information for incompatible purposes without an appropriate lawful basis or, where required, your consent.
4. Lawful processing
We process personal information only where lawful. This may be because you consented, processing is needed to answer your request or provide a requested service, it supports legitimate organisational activities without unfairly affecting your privacy, it is required by law, or another lawful basis is available under Ghanaian law. You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Where practicable, we identify required fields. You may choose not to provide optional information, but we may be unable to respond fully or provide a service if information necessary for your request or registration is not provided.
6. How we share personal information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may disclose it where reasonably necessary to authorised GovnorInspires members, service providers, third-party platforms through which you voluntarily submit information, to provide a service or respond to your request, where required or permitted by law, to protect rights, safety, property or security, or where you authorise disclosure. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards when third parties process information for us.
7. Third-party services
Our current third-party services include Google Forms for partnership and donation forms, Google Maps, YouTube through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain, WhatsApp, social-media platforms and FormSubmit, which sends website contact-form submissions to our email address. Information handled through these services is subject to the relevant provider’s own privacy practices and terms.
Our website may link to or integrate services such as Google Forms, Google Maps, YouTube and WhatsApp. When you use them, information may be processed under the relevant provider’s own privacy practices and terms. We do not control independent providers’ privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies before submitting information.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use browser session storage to remember the last section you viewed during your browsing session. This is stored in your browser and is cleared when the session ends; it is not used for advertising. We do not currently set our own analytics or advertising cookies. However, embedded or linked third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. You can control cookies through browser settings; disabling them may affect third-party features.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, record keeping, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements or meeting legal obligations. When no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete, destroy or anonymise it where appropriate.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to be informed, request access or correction, object to certain processing, request a restriction or stop to processing in appropriate circumstances, withdraw consent, and raise a complaint. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. Photographs, testimonials and stories
Our website includes material relating to staff, beneficiaries, farmers, partners, participants and community activities. We seek appropriate permission or rely on another lawful basis where required. If you believe material relating to you was published without appropriate permission, please contact us.
13. Children’s privacy
Our website is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly request or collect children’s personal information for purposes unrelated to legitimate programmes or activities. Where programmes involve young people or children, appropriate consent, safeguarding and data-protection measures will be applied.
14. International processing
Some third-party technology providers may process or store information outside Ghana. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate privacy and security safeguards and compliance with applicable legal requirements.

We may link to websites operated by partners, organisations, service providers or other third parties. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, security or content. Please review each external site’s privacy policy before providing information.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, website functionality, technology, legal requirements or data-processing practices. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Please review this page periodically.
